Sales Representative

B Squared is seeking energetic and experienced B-to-B sales candidates with a proven track record of success in driving top-line sales by generating new business to join the company and drive in new business. This role will involve managing the sales process from lead identification through closing new business with new companies. B Squared will take seriously employing the candidate’s preferred and proven customer relationship management system tool to drive growth.

The Sales Representative position will control their own success in our business growth by driving revenue through proactively targeting and building strategic relationships – in coordination with the Founder and President, Director of Business Development and Director of Client Services – to drive B Squared’s vast offering of digital printing, graphic design and fulfillment products and services. Best candidates will thrive as self-starters and enjoy collaborating with other talented people to win new business and create winning solutions for clients.

Individuals successful in the Sales Representative position will make a concerted effort to learn the “in’s and out’s “of B Squared’s key products and services. They will also follow a consistent sales process for identifying opportunities, qualifying potential, understanding client’s business drivers, building relationships, presenting solutions and closing the business, and keep senior team members apprised of lead progress with routine reporting.  

Key Relationships

The Sales Representative is directly responsible for field sales and will work closely and collaboratively with several colleagues at the firm. The following lists those positions:

Founder and President: To effectively team sell and take advantage of the President’s industry, company and sales knowledge, the Sales Representative must remain in regular contact with the Founder and President to provide real-time feedback on meetings and to schedule additional meetings where both the Sales Representative and President will attend a meeting together to win a new client.

Director of Business Development: This individual works with the President and the Director of Client Services to determine B Squared’s growth strategy, development of new industry verticals to pursue, public communications and marketing matters and internal communications. The Sales Representative must work closely with them to provide recommendations for other new business opportunities, relationship building opportunities and other long-term connections, which may be beneficial to the overall growth of the business.

Director of Client Services: This individual works with the President and the Director of Business Development to determine B Squared’s growth strategy, and with the Account Management Team to monitor and manage day-to-day client workflow. The Sales Representative must work closely with them to align sales plans with the best use of internal resources and work flow, clear dissemination of new leads/follow up and the efficient reporting of new information in order to establish the best use of resources and efficient reporting of data. The Director of Client Services will also assist the Sales Representative in estimating and generating new quotes.

Sales Representative Job Specifications

  • Start Date: Immediately or as soon as possible  
  • Salary Range: Salary package commensurate with sales and industry experience. Benefits include health with optional dental and vision, paid sick/vacation time and retirement savings plan after one year. (Estimating a low base with commission based on new business)
  • Must Haves: At least 3-5 years of sales experience utilizing a consultative selling approach for high-quality solutions, excellent communications and customer service skills (verbal, written and listening), high attention to detail and an ability to learn new subjects quickly. Printing industry experience is NOT required but an interest to learn solutions within the digital printing industry is critical. Candidates must also demonstrate past success in meeting sales goals and growing sales, strong individual selling skills and PC proficiency (Microsoft Office).
  • Nice to Haves: Understanding of web-based software solutions; experience with utilizing a sales customer relationship management system; a structure for analyzing who to target, activities, new verticals and resource needs to meet goals.
